For complete information please visit the new Shambhala Pacific Northwest Retreat website: pacificnorthwestretreat.org
Open to anyone, for one week or two, this year’s retreat focuses on bringing our heart into our discipline and then extending that to others. The program includes daily meditation practice, relative silence, one-bowl meals, work periods, quiet time, walks, talks, and chanting in the Shambhala tradition.
Authorized students may participate in a daily session of Gesar Sadhana or ngöndro practice during week 1 and Shambhala Sadhana or ngöndro practice during week 2.
The retreat is especially valuable to those who are curious about retreat and want to experience a retreat in the company of others with the support of an experienced and cheerful teaching staff. Participation counts toward requirements for Shambhala Guide Training and Enlightened Society Assembly.
The meditative and contemplative tradition of Shambhala comes to us from the Venerable Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and his son Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. The Shambhala vision of the basic goodness of ourselves and our society is the inspiration for our practice and daily life at this retreat.
