Open House
Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.
Basic meditation practice is not religious and does not require of a
practitioner that he or she follow a spiritual path. Beginners and
experienced meditators who wish to receive further instruction on the
foundations of meditation are welcome at this introductory evening.
The evening includes meditation instruction and practice, discussion
and information about the centre, lineage, and community. There is no
charge and no need to register.
Sangha Night
Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.
Newcomers and experienced practitioners are invited to join us on
Tuesday evenings to explore the provocative teachings of Buddhism and
Shambhala. A one hour group meditation practice is followed by a talk
and discussion, or tea. This evening may include special events,
community study courses, or talks by visiting teachers or senior
students. Introductory meditation instruction is available. Saturday Nyinthun
Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12 noon
Join us for all or part of this three-hour practice on Saturday mornings. If weekend programs or events are being conducted requiring the Nyinthun to be cancelled, you will be notified by email by Thursday of the previous week.
If you would like to discuss problems with your meditation practice or discuss hindrances to your practice, please see the timekeeper (Umze) and you will be directed to the meditation instructor in attendance.
