Dear Friends in the Victoria Shambhala community,

Some of you may know that our dear friend, George Howell, who lived here for many years, died this Thursday in New York, where he had most recently had been living. He had a sudden onset cancer that spread quickly through his body and ended his wonderful life. In my experience, George was one of the kindest, nicest and most inspiring persons I have known. Till the end, he expressed his commitment to be of service to others. I and many will miss him greatly.

This note is to inform you that to help with George’s passing, we will perform a Sukhavti ceremony for him at 630PM this Sunday evening at the Centre both in person and on zoom. If you can be there in person, that would be great, but if you cannot, you can still attend on Zoom. The link will be on the Centre’s website calendar. Obviously, this is not a happy occasion but our being there together, however we can do that, can help both him and us.
